Landskrona - New opportunities in an expansive region
Landskrona municipality has a long history as shipbuilding and industrial city. The economy of Landskrona is characterised, even today, by its industrial sector, but the strategic location in an expansive region means new opportunities.
Good connections by rail, air and a well-developed road network, contributes to the strong business climate. This is evident on the small island of Ven, with its 370 residents, which has created 70 active companies, including everything from fishing to whiskey production.
Many well-known companies have their registered offices in Landskrona’s municipality, and the availability of land and premises, notably in the Crown business park, indicates that this will steady increase. Landskrona’s port is well-developed and can accommodate large ships and the local airport for business jets is just two kilometres away.
Landskrona municipality currently has 42,200 inhabitants, of which about 30,000 of whom reside in Landskrona city.
